SUBJ: MILITARY UNIFORM POLICY CHANGE NOTIFICATION
A. Uniform Regulations, COMDTINST M1020.6 (series)
1. This message announces a policy change to Reference (A), which
removes the requirement for the ODU shirt to have an embroidered
Coast Guard shield on the right pocket. This change is effective immediately.
Reference (A) will be updated to read:
a. Individual Uniform Items, Chapter 3.C.3. of Reference (A):
(1) Shirts - The ODU shirt is a Coast Guard blue shirt with two
flap closure pockets on each side and a flap covering the
buttons.
2. Current ODU shirt production without embroidery has started to
reach the retail environment. ODU shirts without the embroidered
Coast Guard Shield are not production errors and are authorized.
ODU shirts with the embroidered Coast Guard shield remain authorized
until no longer serviceable.
3. For comments or policy questions please contact CG PSC-PSD,

4. Commands are encouraged to ensure widest dissemination of this
ALCGPSC.
